Discount codes cannot be used in conjunction with any Black Friday discount. Our Black Friday offers and discounts are larger than ‘regular’ codes, so there is no benefit to using other discount codes during our Black Friday sale. Following Black Friday, you will be able to use any discount codes you may have as normal. 

No, Student and Key Worker discounts will be temporarily invalid during Black Friday. Our Black Friday sale will have bigger discounts than if you use either of these discounts, so there’s little benefit to using them during the sale.

Student and Key Worker discounts will be valid once the Black Friday sale has finished. 

You can! Gift cards are still valid during our Black Friday sale, just enter the information at checkout once you’re happy with what’s in your basket. 

For all orders placed between 22nd November to 31st December 2024, we will extend our returns policy so that you have 60 days to obtain an exchange or refund.

All other parts of the standard returns policy remain unchanged.

We offer personalisation in UK, US, CA and AU only. Personalised items will increase your delivery time by up to 8 working days. Personalisation is not offered on sets so if you want a set of items embroidered, you would need to purchase the items individually and enter the personalisation requirements. 

If you are gifting items and wish to send a gift receipt to the recipient, you can do so by selecting “send gift receipt” at checkout. The gift receipt will be sent to you for you to then forward to the recipient and they will be able to exchange the gift in the future if required.

We understand that sales can sometimes happen right after a purchase, but unfortunately, we are unable to refund the difference in price for orders placed before the Black Friday sale. Sales and promotions are time-limited and unpredictable, and prices are determined at the time of purchase. We appreciate your understanding, as this policy helps us manage promotions fairly for all customers.

We LOVE that you're thinking of choosing Dock & Bay for your gifting! We don't include the pricing on our packing slips within any orders, so you never need to worry about them knowing how generous you were (not that we're biased!).

Returns & Exchanges

If you’re not happy with your product, we’ll understand...

To request a refund, please get in touch via our contact us page to let us know why and we’ll get back to you with all the information. You will be refunded as soon as your return is received by our warehouse and you'll receive an email confirming your refund.

We’re unable to provide free returns for unwanted items and incorrect selections so please choose carefully when shopping.

You will be refunded to your original payment method when our warehouse have processed your return and you will receive an email confirming your refund.

Please note that it can take 3-5 working days for the refund to appear in your account and please contact your bank if you're having any issues with this.

If you would like to exchange your items for a different colour or size, we suggest placing a new order and returning your unwanted items to us for a full refund.

Please make sure that you’re happy with your choices before submitting your order, returns postage is at the cost of the customer.

So, you’ve been gifted something from Dock & Bay and want to exchange it with something else…no worries at all! We understand that even with all of love and care that has been put into this gift, it might not have been that special item you’ve been eyeing up, and that’s just fine. 

Lucky for you, we’re here to help. We’ve been working on something to help make exchanging your gift as easy as can be. There are a few steps, but it’ll be worth it…

  1. The most important part of the process is the order number, without this we won’t be able to make the exchange. This part may be the hardest, as it’ll take a little snooping, but you’ve got this. Once you have the order number, please email your exchange request to help@dockandbay.com.
  2. As soon as we receive the order number, we can help with a returns process for the item. If it’s a like-for-like item, we will simply swap it for you.
  3. If you are wanting to swap the item for something completely different on our website, we can provide a gift code in exchange for the return. With this code, you can finally get that Beach Towel, Bath Towel, Picnic Blanket, Poncho, Dog Towel, Hair Wrap, Cooling Towel, Tea Towel, Kids Towel, Bathrobe, Wash Mitt, Makeup Remover, Tote Bag, Makeup Headband *tries to catch breath* that you’ve always wanted.
  4. Please note, we cannot issue a refund as this will be refunded to the card the purchase was made with, which would alert your gifter.

WARNING: Due to this process, there is always a chance that the original purchaser may get notified. However, our team will work incredibly diligently to make sure that does not happen.

Personalised items are non-refundable, even if you make a mistake, so please double triple check everything is perfect before placing an order!

If you receive a product which isn’t up to standard, please get in touch via our contact us page, and include your order number, a short description and some photos, so our team can sort this for you.

If you have placed the order on Amazon or purchased it in one of our retailers, please get in touch with them to arrange a replacement or refund.

We have a no quibbles 30 day return policy, so please get in touch if you'd like to send back an unwanted item for a refund.

We hold our products to the highest quality standards, because you deserve the very best. If your product is less than perfect within the first 6 month of use (including rips, tears, discolouration, colour runs) then we’ll get it replaced, free of charge.

Our guarantee does not cover issues caused by general wear-and-tear, such as staining.

Products & Care

Other 'quick dry' towels that we've used in the past haven't been so effective. They tend to have quite a rough texture and feel horrible on any patches of dry skin. Then when you try to dry yourself down, the towel becomes slimy. Ew. That's why we've come in to completely change the game.

Our towels feel totally different to what you might expect from a Quick Dry. In fact, we even get customers emailing in saying they aren't sure of the soft, smooth material and whether it'll be effective. We always reply with 'use the towel... trust us, you will love it!' and they do.

Dock & Bay towels are packed full of features which are simply down to how they are made. We can guarantee that they are quick-dry, super absorbent, smooth against the skin, sand-free (it brushes right off!), compact for travel and easy to care for.

But don't take it from us, you'll probably think we are biased. Try them yourself! With our 12 month warranty, you don't have anything to lose.

Absolutely nothing! Ok, not quite nothing, but they are all pretty similar!

Our stripy range (so Cabana, Summer and seasonal designs) and the Essential towels are all made from the same material, 100 recycled and planet friendly!

Our magic cooling towels are infused with jade stone to keep you cool for up to 6hrs (even through those sweaty workouts!).

All of our terrific towels are sand-free, they are quick drying, super-absorbent, they won't hold on to any nasty odours and they pack down into a cute compact pouch for travel.

All of these towels (not to mention the Hair Wraps and Ponchos) feel super soft and smooth against the skin, and no, they don't feel like the microfibre cloths you might have in your cleaning cupboard.

All ponchos are designed to be slightly baggy making it easier to change under. The below is a rough guideline:

  • Size 6 to 14 - Medium
  • Size 14+ - Large

Stains can always be tough on white but after a few cool washes, our towels are able to be washed on a higher heat up to 60 degrees. That, coupled with a good stain lifting powder, should leave your towels sparkling. ✨🌈

The essentials for taking care of your Dock & Bay are:

  • Cold machine wash (under 30 degrees). After the first few washes it's ok to turn up the heat.
  • The pouches are hand wash only and should not go in the washing machine.
  • Don't mix your white shirt or dress with a coloured towels (or coloured anything), it can lead to tears! We also recommend not washing our stripy towels and block colour towels in the same wash. Just to be on the safe side!
  • Try not to use fabric softener, as over time it can reduce the absorbency of the towel. Using fabric softener will not destroy your towel the first time it is used, but over time, it can degrade the performance of your product, and we want it to last as long as possible for you!
  • Do not bleach, or put near fire or hot implements.
  • Tumble drying is ok if you need to, but air-drying is kinder to our products.

When the towel is new, we recommend that you follow the fold lines that are already in it, to use as a guide. Hopefully you'll pick up the technique quickly!

Our products are designed in-house in our London head office, by our amazing design team (with a lot of opinions from the rest of the team!) and manufactured by our awesome team in China!

No. All our products are regularly tested for harmful Azo Dyes through Intertek testing.

All our factories have to complete regular ethical audits to ensure working standards are maintained. These are often done through both Sedex and Amfori BSCI.

All of our Quick Dry towels and hair wraps can be personalized (not including charity collaborations)!

The cost is added to your item total and ranges from $8 for initials (up to 3 characters) and $10 for up to 12 characters (including spaces).

Please note that all personalization will be printed in upper case only.

We do not tolerate any expletives or offensive language on personalized products and we have the right to refuse personalization and cancel the order at our discretion.

Personalization will increase your delivery time by up to 5 working days so express shipping is not available for these orders.

They do indeed! Every product in each set will come packaged in its own pouch or gift box (depending on the products ordered).

100% Recycled Material

We have successfully finished transitioning all of our products to be made from 100% recycled material. This means that instead of the towels being woven from thread made of virgin (new) plastic, it is going to be made from recycled, post-consumer plastic.

We are passionate about #doingourbit for the world we live in and reducing our environmental footprint wherever we can. It has always been a goal of ours to create products from something that would have otherwise been filling up landfills. It took a little time to get the new material perfect and it wasn’t an overnight process but now we’re happy the material is up to scratch and the same quality quick-dry fabric that you know and love.

By recycling plastic which already exists, as opposed to creating new plastic to make items from synthetic materials, you do a whole load of good. Less waste in our oceans and in landfill, a reduction in CO2 emissions, saving petroleum, better energy conservation and even the creation of jobs are just some of our favourites.

We process orders almost immediately and most of the time cannot accept cancellations or changes to orders placed. Gift Cards

Simply select the amount you would like to give, enter recipients email address, recipient's name and a little message and voila! It’s sent straight over to their inbox for them to use on whatever they wish.

To pay with the gift card, please enter the number in the gift card box at checkout before payment (do not confuse this with the discount code box!).

As soon as you have purchased the gift card, it will be sent immediately to your email address. Please ensure that you have entered your email correctly. You will then need to send this on to the recipient.


All of our gift cards are electronic and we don't have a physical version currently available. You can certainly print off a copy of the e-gift card if you wish to give it to somebody in person!

Gift Cards can only be used online via our website on the country page on which they were purchased and are not valid for use with any of our stockists or other websites such as Amazon.

You certainly can. If your order total is more than the value of the gift card then you'll need to enter your preferred payment method to cover the additional cost.

If your order is less than the value of the gift card, the remaining balance will simply stay on that gift card, ready for you to use another time!

Anything returned that was paid with a gift card will be refunded onto the gift card.

Our gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for another item or for cash.

All our products are made in China. Our two founders, Andy & Ben visit the factories at least once a year and have strong relationships with the teams over there. They ensure all factories we work with have up to date ethical audits to maintain working standards.
